ha ha! we're in a whole new world now.
i'm currently running 4 avermedia capture cards made for gamers and a dedicated (powered) usb 3 card. the whole thing works well, was really the only solution available for my price range two years ago, but today, these cool new switchers are getting really good! i might 'switch' at some point.

this seems like a powerful device, but it does feel a bit clunky compared to other solutions.
